Notes

'Gladstone' apple (Malus domestica 'Gladstone') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is grown for fresh eating. White flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. Mr Jackson of Blakedown Nursery bred it in 1780.

Pairs well with Hazelnut, Common milkweed, Garlic chives, and African marigold.
