Notes
'Gloire de France' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Gloire de France') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The blooms are carmine-red with ruby-red shading. You can cut them for bouquets to bring that color indoors. A French breeder bred it.
Pairs well with Francee hosta, Japanese spirea, and Switchgrass.
