Notes

'Gold Cheer' peony (Paeonia 'Gold Cheer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single red flowers are globular and fragrant, and they draw butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Hermann Krupke bred it, and the plants may need some support.

Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Perennial candytuft, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
