Notes

'Gold Crest' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gold Crest') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, full double flowers are deep pink, and some petals are edged or tipped yellow, which gives the plant its name. The incurved petals look like a chrysanthemum. Eugene H. Lins bred it.

Pairs well with Lily of the valley, Spotted dead nettle, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
