Notes
'Gold Dragon' montbretia (Crocosmia crocosmiiflora 'Gold Dragon') is a bulb with tall arching wands of orange flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Blooms open from early to late summer, and hummingbirds and bees visit them. Rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The dark green strappy leaves form an upright clump.
Pairs well with Fountain grass, Bigleaf hydrangea, and Stargazer lily.
