Notes

'Gold Rush' montbretia (Crocosmia 'Gold Rush') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Orange blooms open from early to late summer on stems 30 to 36 inches tall. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers, and the blooms are fragrant. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Fountain grass, Liberty hosta, and Casa Blanca lily.
