Notes
'Golden Angel' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Angel') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Chris Laning bred it, and its single, fragrant, soft cream flowers open early. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The foliage starts bright yellow and turns light green by midsummer.
Pairs well with Fire and Ice hosta, Phantom panicle hydrangea, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
