Notes

Golden-bell clematis (Clematis tangutica) is a vine for cottage gardens, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Yellow flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Eden rose, Ornamental onion, and Japanese forest grass.
