Notes

'Golden Extra' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Extra') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large golden-yellow flowers are semi-double to double, with a mild, pleasant fragrance that draws bees and butterflies. Donald Robert Smith bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Stained Glass hosta, Limelight hydrangea, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Little Beauty tulip.
