Notes

'Golden Horn' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Horn') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Mid yellow blooms with red flares darken to black in the center. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Sweet William, Weigela, Ostrich fern, and Greig's tulip.
