Notes

'Golden Isles' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Isles') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant yellow blooms have dark red flares and open in spring and early summer. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with Sweet William, Grape hyacinth, Christmas fern, and Niobe clematis.
