Notes

'Golden Pond' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Pond') is a shrub for specimen plantings, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant yellow semi-double flowers face upward and open from spring into early summer. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Franklin and Angela Chow bred it.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Toad lily, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
