Notes

'Golden Spire' apple (Malus domestica 'Golden Spire') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is grown for cooking, juice, and hard cider. The flesh is juicy and cooks to a puree with an excellent apple flavor. Light pink flowers open in spring and attract bees.

Pairs well with Thimbleberry, Jerusalem artichoke, and Black Parrot tulip.
