Notes

'Grandiflora' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Grandiflora') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, flat, double flowers are rose-pink and fragrant. They open in late spring to early summer, and it is one of the last peonies to bloom. The stems are weak, so you may want to give the tall plant some support.

Pairs well with Garlic chives, Dalmatian bellflower, and Miss Kim lilac.
