Notes

'Green Column' sugar maple (Acer saccharum 'Green Column') is a tree for use as a specimen, a hedge, or a privacy screen. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This tree likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly and has a dense habit. Deer tend to pass it by. Green flowers appear in spring and summer and attract butterflies, bees, and birds, and the leaves show fall color.

Pairs well with Scarlet oak, Obsidian coral bells, and Creeping jenny.
