Notes

'Greensleeves' apple (Malus domestica 'Greensleeves') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees. East Malling Research Station bred it in 1966 from Golden Delicious and James Grieve. You can pick the fruit in mid-September or leave it on the tree into October, when it turns golden yellow.

Pairs well with Pink Lemonade blueberry, Festiva Maxima peony, and Greig's tulip.
