Notes

'Greensleeves' Chinese dogwood (Cornus kousa 'Greensleeves') is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Creamy-white flowers with a hint of green open in late spring and early summer. Bright red, strawberry-like fruit follows and draws birds in fall.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Siebold's hosta, and Pale yellow-eyed grass.
