Notes
'Gzhel' garden phlox (Phlox paniculata 'Gzhel') is a perennial for mixed borders, pollinator gardens, and cutting gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Fragrant blue and white pinwheel flowers open from early to late summer, and again in early to mid autumn. Hummingbirds and bees visit them, and deadheading helps keep the blooms coming. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Cat mint, Orange lily, and Greig's tulip.
