Notes
'Halo in Pink' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Halo in Pink') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double pink blooms are about 20 cm across and open in mid to late spring. Each long stem carries one bud, so the flowers make good cuts. John and Dot McFarlane bred it, and it first bloomed in 1999.
Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Blue fescue, Queen of Night tulip, and Cinnamon fern.
