This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads at least 24 inches wide. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the fragrant blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Bride's feathers, Lily of the valley, Vision in PInk Chinese astilbe, and Solomon's seal.
