'Happy Spirit' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Happy Spirit') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears fragrant, soft pink, semi-double blooms about 4 inches wide in early to mid spring. Stems grow upright to 36 inches and need no support.
Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Woodland phlox, and Sedge.
