Notes

'Happy Trails Mixture' portulaca (Portulaca grandiflora 'Happy Trails Mixture') is an annual for containers, rock gardens, borders, and ground cover. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to wet soil of most types. It creeps along at 5 to 9 inches tall and bears double flowers in red, orange, and yellow. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It is drought tolerant, so it suits dry spots.

Pairs well with Supertunia Really Red petunia, Black Velvet nasturtium, and Cerise Queen yarrow.
