Notes

'Harlequin' honeysuckle (Lonicera italica 'Harlequin') is a vine for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It sits low on the menu for deer. The blue-green leaves have creamy white edges that flush pink in fall. Fragrant flowers attract hummingbirds and birds, and you can train it onto a fence, trellis, or pergola.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Woodbine, and Tree peony.
