Notes

'Hello Darkness' iris (Iris 'Hello Darkness') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows about 35 to 47 inches tall and blooms in spring and summer, so it suits the back of a bed. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Cloud Ballet iris, Meadow rue, Hardy geranium, and Rosemary.
