Notes

'Helsinki University' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Helsinki University') is an evergreen shrub for borders, specimen planting, hedges, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Pink flowers with dark red spots open in early to late spring and draw hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and 36 to 48 inches wide.

Pairs well with Cinnamon fern, Green Spice coral bells, and Paperbark maple.
