Notes

'Imperial Gem' lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Imperial Gem') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It has dark violet blooms and grey-green evergreen leaves that smell sweet. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Purple Coneflower coneflower, and Creeping thyme.
