Notes

'Higasayama' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Higasayama') is a tree for specimen, accent, and woodland use. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows slowly into a broad tree and shows fall color. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Red flowers open from early to late spring and draw bees and birds.

Pairs well with Bluebell, Primrose, and Dogwood.
