Notes

'High n Mighty' peony (Paeonia 'High n Mighty') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 35 inches tall and bears fragrant, twisty red blooms that attract butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Moonshine yarrow, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
