Notes

'High Up' peony (Paeonia 'High Up') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It is a tall hybrid with fragrant, single, deep pink blooms that draw butterflies and bees. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Carlton daffodil, and Polish Spirit clematis.
