Notes

'Hill Z.' peony (Paeonia 'Hill Z.') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its single, bright red flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Lyman D. Glasscock bred it.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Carlton daffodil, and Polish Spirit clematis.
