Notes
'Hinode-gumo' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hinode-gumo') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The blooms are lavender, so they add soft color to a mixed planting. Cut stems also work well in a vase.
Pairs well with Star magnolia, Annabelle hydrangea, and Meadowsweet.
