Notes

'Hinode-Sekai' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Hinode-Sekai') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It has Japanese type flowers in Tyrian pink that open in mid season. The medium plant stays compact, and the flowers have bright red tipped carpels at the center.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Western sword fern, Pink Impression tulip, and Incrediball hydrangea.
