Notes

'Hokey Pokey' peony (Paeonia 'Hokey Pokey') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double, golden-yellow flowers open in early to late spring against grey-green leaves. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. John W. and Dot M. McFarlane bred it.

Pairs well with Bottlebrush buckeye, Gentian, Greig's tulip, and Irish moss.
