Notes
'Hope Springs Eternal' hosta (Hosta 'Hope Springs Eternal') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads at least 24 inches, so give it room. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Its fragrant blooms attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Pairs well with Bride's feathers, Solomon's seal, and Vision in PInk Chinese astilbe.
