Notes

'Hot Gossip' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hot Gossip') is a shrub for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows tall, with good stems and medium green pointed leaves. The deep pink, semi-double flowers open in mid to late spring and early summer, with one bud per stem. John W. and Dot M. McFarlane bred it, and it first bloomed in 1999.

Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, Carnaval De Nice tulip, Ostrich fern, and Clematis.
