Notes

'Hua Cai Lan Meng' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hua Cai Lan Meng') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, semi-double flowers open in mid to late spring. They are pale lavender with deep purplish-pink flares and fade to light pink as they age. The plant grows upright and spreading, up to 32 inches tall.

Pairs well with Polish Spirit clematis, Ostrich fern, Pink Impression tulip, and New England aster.
