It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, semi-double flowers open in late spring on strong stems. The milky-white petals show hints of pink when fresh, then fade to white. The upright shrub reaches about 48 inches (120 cm) tall.
