Notes

'Hua Yu Xiu Qiu' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hua Yu Xiu Qiu') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, double, creamy-white flowers open in mid to late spring, with dark purplish-pink flares on the petals. Plants grow upright to about 30 inches and carry one bloom per stem in a well displayed position. The flower looks like a white hydrangea.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Clematis, and Christmas fern.
