Notes
'Humei Alba' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Humei Alba') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, fragrant flowers are white with light pink shading and a yellow center. They open flat and loose in early to mid spring. Nicolas Lémon bred it in 1830, and it makes a good cut flower.
Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Picture tulip, and Christmas fern.
