Notes

'Humoresque' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Humoresque') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Light pink blooms with red streaks and flecks open in late spring. The flat flowers rise higher in the center, and the plant stands up well in sudden hot spells. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Ostrich fern, and Picture tulip.
