'Humphrey' Norway spruce (Picea abies 'Humphrey') is a tree for specimen planting, accents, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy soil. Its evergreen, conical shape stays green all winter. Deer tend to pass it by. It attracts birds and grows at a rapid rate.
