Notes

'Ichigyoji' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Ichigyoji') is a tree for specimen, accent, container, and woodland use. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows slowly into a broad tree and tolerates drought. Bees and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Spring snowflake, Midwinter Fire common dogwood, and Sweet woodruff.
