Notes

'Idille' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Idille') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Late blooming white double flowers open in late spring to early summer. They face upward, smell strongly fragrant, and look like blooming roses in the center. Stems stand upright, though support helps during long rainy spells.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Sedge, and Spanish bluebell.
