Notes

'Ikuho-mon' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Ikuho-mon') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The name means Gate of Ikuho. Cut blooms look good in a vase. A Japanese breeder developed it, and Chugai introduced it in 1932.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Blue Angel hosta, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
