Notes

'Illustris' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Illustris') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. You can cut the stems for a vase indoors. In a border, give it room to grow with smaller plants near its base. Kelway bred it.

Pairs well with Iris, Japanese spirea, Blue fescue, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
