Notes
'In Memoriam' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'In Memoriam') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large pink flowers open in early summer and fade to an opalescent pink with a wide red ring around the center. The blooms are fragrant and make an excellent cut flower. Dr. Frederick G. Brethour bred it.
Pairs well with Blazing star, Sedge, Blue sage, and Rose.
