Notes

'Iphigenia' peony (Paeonia 'Iphigenia') is a shrub for specimen planting, borders, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant, deep red flowers have two rows of rounded petals and small maroon flares. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Nassos Daphnis bred it.

Pairs well with David garden phlox, Greig's tulip, and Christmas fern.
