Notes

'Janice' caryopteris (Caryopteris clandonensis 'Janice') is a shrub for borders, containers, and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the fragrant flowers in summer and autumn. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It tolerates drought, so it needs little care once established.

Pairs well with Macedonia scabious, Stonecrop, Agapanthus, and Blue grama.
