Notes

'Jay Cee' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Jay Cee') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, full double flowers are red with silver edges and show no stamens. They bloom in midseason on strong stems of medium height, and they make fine cut flowers. Carl G. Klehm bred it.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Ostrich fern, Incrediball hydrangea, and Blue sage.
