Notes
'Joanna Marlene' peony (Paeonia 'Joanna Marlene') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its fragrant golden-yellow blooms have deep pink outer petals, and butterflies and bees visit them. Roger F. Anderson bred it in 1999.
Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Clustered bellflower, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
